Safety rules for families
01Age guidance and adult involvement
- Under 13: Do not independently create an account, submit personal information, or use interactive community features. A parent or guardian must contact the project team and complete any consent process required by applicable law before such use.
- Ages 13–17: Use the service with parent or guardian awareness and supervision. Adults should review profile choices, friends, posts, prayer messages, versus invitations, and reports.
- Families, churches, and schools: Use appropriate adult oversight, shared-device rules, and safeguarding policies. Do not treat the app as a substitute for responsible supervision.
The safest profile is one that identifies the player inside the game without revealing who or where the child is offline.
02Information children should never share publicly
- Full legal name, personal email, phone number, passwords, recovery codes, or identity documents.
- Home address, school, classroom, precise location, daily route, travel plan, or places regularly visited.
- Photos or videos that reveal uniforms, addresses, license plates, private rooms, or other children.
- Financial information, family conflicts, medical records, confidential counseling, or private pastoral matters.
- External social-media handles, private chat invitations, or requests to move conversations away from supervised spaces.
Public areas should use a display name, learner ID, badge, title, and border. Account email, phone, age confirmation, and admin notes are intended to stay private.
03Community, friends, prayer, and versus safety
- Friend tools are for encouragement, Scripture sharing, prayer, and friendly games. They are not permission for secret or romantic contact with minors.
- Prayer messages should be kind and brief. Do not ask a child for private details, photographs, secrecy, money, meetings, or off-platform contact.
- Community content must not include bullying, sexual material, grooming, threats, self-harm encouragement, hate, scams, or humiliation.
- Versus reactions and invitations should remain respectful. No chat restriction may be bypassed through usernames, posts, or coded messages.
- Adults must never use spiritual authority, ministry language, gifts, rewards, or private prayer to manipulate a child.
04Child-appropriate design commitments
The project aims to design with the child’s best interests first. This includes understandable language, minimal necessary data, private account details, restrained notifications, no gambling mechanics, no pay-to-win pressure, no manipulative streak punishment, accessible reporting, and moderation of public spaces.
Features likely to create higher risk should be limited, redesigned, or held back until suitable safeguards exist. A feature being technically possible does not make it wise. Humanity has tested that theory enough.
05What parents and guardians should do
- Create or review the account together and use a safe display name.
- Review community posts, friends, prayer encouragement, profile text, and versus activity regularly.
- Teach children to stop responding, save evidence, report the account, and tell a trusted adult when something feels wrong.
- Use device-level parental controls, safe browsing, screen-time boundaries, and family rules appropriate to the child.
- Request correction, access, restriction, or deletion of a child’s information where applicable.
06Report danger, abuse, or exploitation
Use the Report controls for unsafe posts, comments, profiles, links, threats, grooming, sexual content, exploitation, impersonation, or repeated harassment. Do not publicly investigate or confront suspected abusers.
Immediate danger: Contact local emergency services and a trusted adult. The app is not an emergency-response service. Preserve relevant screenshots or details without redistributing harmful material.
Reports may be reviewed, content may be preserved for safety, and accounts may be restricted while concerns are investigated. Where legally required, serious child-safety matters may be referred to appropriate authorities.
07Wellbeing, faith, and healthy use
The game should support Bible learning, not replace sleep, school, family, church, outdoor activity, or healthy relationships. Rewards and streaks should encourage consistency without shaming a child for resting or missing a day.
Spiritual questions, grief, abuse, mental-health crises, or self-harm concerns require compassionate adult involvement and, where appropriate, qualified professional help. Game notes are not pastoral, medical, or emergency care.
Parent, guardian, or safeguarding request
Use Feedback or Support after signing in to request account review, correction, restriction, deletion, or help with a safety report.
